Karimnagar is district Head Quarter and a Municipal Corporation in Telangana State, India. There are 56 mandals in the district and list of mandals with mandal codes is shown in the photo. There is a reservoir lake towards the west side of the town on Manairu river and is known as Lower Manairu Dam or LMD.
Karimnagar is Mandal HQ for 29 villages under it. The list of villages and village code are in the photo no.2.
Karimnagar name is derived from Syed Karimullah Shah Saheb Quiladar who was one of the Nawab. There are other older versions of the name Kanaganti, Kannaram etc.
Nizams have used it as one of their provincial headquarters.
Karimnagar has produced skillful workers in silver filigree.
